Introducing: Apotheosis

Our new project for 2014 was titled Apotheosis, an ER-SPIEV (Extended-range, solar plug-in electric vehicle) that will feature improvements from last years' model, Endurance, along with some experimental features. 

 

Using a new chassis design, the goal was to increase distance-on-a-charge to 100 miles by:

    a. reducing overall weight and drag

    b. converting to a 3-wheel recumbent design

    c. changing from 36 volt SLA to dual 48 volt Lithium batteries (Lifepo4)

    d. installing a solar array to its roof to perform as a secondary-battery charging system
